The Voltaire range continues with another Reference marque combining technology from the Ref IV and utilising the very best components to extract the finest details and nuances from this beautiful loudspeaker. Using a critically doped 8” bass unit with high linear excursion characteristics and low midrange colouration and able to achieve very good transient stability at high sound levels. Coupled with a highly specified and large ribbon tweeter able to crossover at lower frequencies gives the Ref 1 much of its incredible vocal clarity and refined sound. Superb imaging and a fabulously large soundstage are just some of the qualities to expect from these monitors along with bass dynamics only Volt are able to achieve through innovative engineering and state of the art performance and design. The Ref 1 takes isolation control to new levels with a newly designed crossover board made from oak and suspended from the main cabinet via rubber to allow the crossover components to be free of direct vibrations. Internal wiring made from Cryogenically treated silver plated copper connecting the drive units to the crossover and terminals. Specially selected capacitors and inductors bring added harmony and precision to soundstaging, focus and depth of image.
